Thin wall stationary piston samplers

The most commonly used samplers in Norway are the Geonor Thin Wall, Stationary Piston Samplers, K-100and K-200. These are of high quality and designed for both undisturbed and agitated (representative) samples. Samplers are available for various sample diameters and for use in different soils.

The sampler can easily be modified for use of all types of cylinders, 54/76 mm steel or 54mm composite.

K-100 - 54 mm sampler

Effective sample length for the K-100 model is 700 mm. The sampler can be used on drilling rigs without disassembling rods and sampler between each sampling. TheK-100 model is equipped with replaceable cutting head. One thin-walled head intended for undisturbed samples of silt and clay and one coarse head for sandy soil. Sand catcher can be used together with a rough cutting head.

K-200 - 54 mm and 76 mm sampler

K-200 model comes with the test cylinder of steel with max. sample lengths of 800 mm, min. 500 mm.

• For use in all types of clay.
• Intended for use above and below ground water level from 0 to 30 m depth.
• Thin-walled steel cylinder with edges reduce sample disturbance.
• K-200 can be modified for 76 mm diameter samples.

K-500 - 30 mm ram sampler

Effective sample length for the K-500 model is 700 mm. The sampler can be used on drilling rigs without disassembling rods and sampler between each sampling. K-500 model is equipped with replaceable edges. One thin-walled head intended for undisturbed samples of silt and clay and one coarse head for sandy soil. Sand catcher can be used together with a rough cutting head.
